“Stunning view and beautiful apartment” This apartment has everything you need for the perfect stay in Carbis Bay. Particularly liked the finer touches which really raised this apartment to another level i.e. underfloor heating, very comfortable bed, superior quality bed linen, towels, fixtures and fittings, it really does make a difference. And the sea view was incredible. The walk down to the beach and back need a certain level of fitness but there are several beaches in St Ives that can be reached by the little train or by bus from the main St Ives road, a short walk from the apartment. There is also a lovely coastal walk to St Ives which is not too strenuous (read the blog sent with your welcome email for directions to this). There are a few very good restaurants within walking distance of the apartment (we particularly liked La Calista and The Cornish Arms serves standard pub grub which is also good). Also plenty of excellent restaurants in St Ives and Ace taxis charge about £6.50 for the journey home if you cant face the walk after a night out. We would definitely stay again and can highly recommend.

“Beautiful location” The house was very warm, clean and inviting on arrival with some scones, bread and tea and coffee as an added surprise after a long drive. The house had wonderful views from the lounge and front bedroom. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything from utensils through to dishwasher tables, sponges and tea towels. We have stayed in many holiday rentals where none of these basic items are provided and it was wonderful to have these items already stocked for arrival. We did have a problem connecting with the WiFi but this was quickly rectified by contacting Rachel and this wasn’t an issue throughout the rest of our stay. The only two issues that we had was that we only managed to get parked in a designated parking bay 50% of the time, meaning we had to park on double yellow lines for the rest of the time. As we were out of season we weren’t particularly concerned about getting a parking ticket however during the high season I can imagine this being a problem and possible one that would stop us returning in the high season. The other issue was with the double mattress. It was incredibly uncomfortable, we could feel the springs and each night it felt like we kept rolling into the middle with no support. I would like to add on a positive note, that we had a delightful stay in a wonderful property.

“Wonderful Apartment” This is a very clean modern apartment situated a few minutes walk from St Ives town centre. The nearest beach which is lovely is again just a few minutes walk away. Having stayed in St Ives previously, I cannot emphasise enough what a good location this place is (and includes off road parking right outside which, in St Ives is a must). I highly recommend this apartment - whatever the weather (nearest pub/takeaways I timed at my walking pace 3 mins) and would stay again without hesitation.

“The most perfect St Ives holiday location !” Gwithian's Reach is ideally located for a holiday in St Ives. Beaches, cliff walks, pubs, restaurants are all easily within walking distance - in fact we never used the car once all week and the off-street parking was a true bonus! Having renovated numerous properties ourselves, we really appreciated the attention to detail that has been applied here. Just perfect for either a summer or winter break!

“Primrose Cottage St Ives” Very homely. Everything you would need as if at home. Milk, tea, coffe & Cream tea on arrival- very nice!! Parking an absolute bonus in StIves as very rare! Stunning views. 5-10 minute walk to anywhere- beach, shops. Road could be a little noisy in the mornings. Porthmeor beach bar right in the sea front - great cream teas, delicious tapas & elderflower prosecco. Try The Loft for an evening meal- amazing food . Balcony bar by the harbour was nice food if you're after reasonable chips/ burger/ fish. Lovely views there.

“Super stay in Cornwall” Gail was very helpful and couldnt do enough to help. Holiday park was great with a lot of entertainment provided. Accommodation was fairly small and cosy but adequate to use as a base to travel to some great nearby places. First time for us on a holiday park but would definitely come again.

“Great stay, fantastic house with plenty if interesting features. Felt like home, didn't want to leave.” Wow, fantastic views from the top floor. It is really close to town, just down a few steps. Great beach (Porthminster) nearby for walking the dog off-lead out of season. The house was very clean and comfortable. Christmas tree and decorations made it really special for us and a lovely basket of goodies including Prosseco was waiting for us in the dining room. Log burner made the evenings cosy and the kitchen was well equipped with more than everything we needed for some great meals. The en-suite bathroom was quirky, beds were really comfortable and TVs in all rooms with smart TV in the lounge. Pity the grandchildren didn't come with us as they would have loved the loft room with the narrow stairs and sloping roof - also was a great place to sit and have coffee while looking out at the harbour (binoculars were provided to see way out across to Hayle or see the people eating in the restaurants along the front in the evening). Owner was very accommodating and easy to contact. Would love to stay here again.
