About Split

What to Do

The old town is the best place to go for a slice of traditional Croatian life. It’s also a UNESCO site, so the narrow sprawling streets are completely authentic and relatively unchanged from their original state.

Make sure you see the Cathedral and Bell Tower of St Dominus. If you can, climb the tower for a great view of the city – but make sure you don't go up when the bells are about to be rung, they're very loud!

Holiday house with private pool "Petra"
Lovely holiday

We have just got back from our stay in podstrana, Igor was the perfect host, waiting for us when our flight was delayed, re channelling the wifi and organising a doctor for us when our son was poorly. The pool is perfect for young children, the 2 apartments were very clean and well equipped. It even has 2 resident tortoises which the children loved. Location is perfect, supermarket and fabio pizza just round the corner along with bus stop, beach is 5-10 minutes and is beautiful, hotel meridian lav has restaurants and bar on the beach that you can use as well as the marina which has some some nice places to eat and excursions available. A short walk along to your right you have kobolo restaurant which we really enjoyed, and a little further along you will find a fruit shack and pharmacy. A wonderful stay!

Myself and 3 others stayed here for 7 days and we must say we could not be happier with our stay. Igor and Deju were wonderful hosts and really went out of there way to make us feel welcome, even so much as booking excursions on our behalf and driving us there and back for free! Great central apartment

We stayed here for 5 nights and it was perfect for us, so central to everything. Ana met us and gave us a lovely welcome. She also provided lots of goodies, ham and cheese, wine, bread, fruit, milk, water, cake. It felt like a home rather than a holiday apartment. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony watching the swifts in the evening. The air conditioning was very efficient and the wifi signal was strong. Cosy modern villa in great open sorroundings

We (three adults) spent 10 lovely days at this villa and enjoyed every moment of it. Danijela and her dad were very helpful and made us very welcome there. You get 100% privacy out in the open. There are a couple of other villas nearby but each one is completely private. The villa is well equipped and we found the amenities very neatly maintained. The pool is a decent size, not too big but also not too small. If you prefer isolation with the nearest shop 2 kms away and the nearest restaurant about 5 kms away then you would simply love this place! We found it really hard to leave the villa on days we had planned outside trips to beaches etc and even ended skipping some of them! Bottom line - we plan to be back! … see more
