“Perfect!” Lovely little cottage in a small quiet village only 2 doors from the local pub. The cottage has everything you need for a relaxing holiday. Just add food. The view from outside is deceiving regarding size as once inside it opens up into a full sized family home with its original beams, low ceilings & quirky features. A small patio area at the rear is nice & quiet, complete with table & chairs & surrounded by small trees & shrubs. Timberscombe village is so quiet we've hardly seen anyone, although the people we have met are very friendly. Dunster village & castle are only about 2 miles away, with minehead a short distance beyond that. All in all, this cottage & location is a great starting point for a decent holiday & I highly recommend it.

“Absolutely loved this house” We spent a weekend staying at the Admirals House for a hen party. It is a beautiful house and was perfect for us. The process of booking was very easy and Cara was lovely and very helpful. Lee the caretaker was brilliant, so helpful and put us straight at ease when we arrived. The house is very grand and was plenty big enough for the 14 of us. It was clean and warm, just perfect for us! It was a 5 minute walk to the activities we did - afternoon tea at the pump rooms, thermae spa and shopping. Then a very short taxi ride for the nightlife! Our group had an amazing time from start to finish and we'll definitely return!

“Lovely Bank Holiday Retreat” We spent the August bank holiday in Bath! The apartment is in the best location! Literally 5 minutes from the centre and yet the street is so quiet. The apartment itself is stunning. Modern decor with classic touches like the ceiling rose and wooden shutters. The beds were really comfortable with the finest linen provided. Everything was great. We'll definitely we back again!

“A Absolute Gem” On arriving at our destination we were greeted by the owners of Highcroft Cottage Andrew and his wife a lovely couple and after a bit of a chat together we made our way to our place of stay Highcroft cottage and the minute we stepped in we were not disappointed. Highcroft has everything you could wish for, wonderful views, very comfy bed and pillows I may add and so light, airy and so clean. Andrew and his wife had thought of everything right down to a lovely welcoming pack for us and one including dog bowls and treats for Rhia and Butch our two dogs. We had the wonderful views of the Gorge from every window and a veranda where you could sit and sip a glass of wine to put it simply home from home. Cheddar is just a minutes stroll where you have lots of shops, restaurants, plenty of tea and coffee shops I thoroughly recommend eating out in The Bath Arms which is in cheddar five to seven minute walk the food is scrumptious and very reasonable. Further afield you have Burnham-on -Sea which is a stones throw and twenty minutes further on is Weston-Super-Mare and a visit to Wells is a must with the Bishops Palace and the Cathedral. The gorge itself is breathtaking so worth a view. I would highly recommend the beautiful cottage and Chedder.

“Perfect Weekend Retreat” I booked this as it was a little weekend getaway for my wife and I was looking for somewhere close to Bath with good public transport links, near good places to eat, that accepted dogs and had a hot tub! (not much to ask ) When I looked at Street View on Google it looks a bit odd, don't be put off, the Barn is set slightly back from the rest of the road and isn't your run of the mill house! The owners Kate and Andrew are lovely people, we were made to feel very welcome, and the flat was ready for our arrival and was very clean and tidy. It is well appointed and a welcome pack of various items were provided including butter, jam, tea, coffee, bread, eggs. This was most welcome as it meant we did not have to venture out immediately for supplies. There is also a Nespresso machine for use which was nice as this is what we use at home, I wish I had bought some of my favourite pods with me! There are obviously supermarkets nearby including Waitrose, Lidl and M&S.; We found Lidl was quite easy to get to and there is a pets at home on the same retail area. It’s important to understand that you are sharing a space which is someone’s home and so you are going to come across each other from time to time. The flat is completely self-contained although joined to the main house at one end, we did not experience any noise at all and felt as if we had complete privacy at all times. The hot tub is available for use and is just across from the flat (robes and sandals are provided). The garden is large and wraps all the way around the main house, there is a walkway to the fields at the top of the property where you can see some stunning sunsets, its also great for dog walking. There is a pub nearby which is walking distance (The Hare & Hounds) we were hoping to go there for dinner, however be aware that it is VERY popular and so book early to avoid disappointment. We couldn’t get a table and so we went to the Old Crown in Kelston (2.5 miles away), it was lovely and the food was superb. There is also a bus stop outside the Hare and Hounds pub which takes you into Bath, the buses run regularly until around 8pm when they change to about every 30 mins, we did try to get into town on the bus however they seemed to be running late and then they did arrive they were full and so didn’t stop! We went back and got the car. Parking in Bath as ever is limited and can be a bit of a pain so if you can, take the bus or an Uber. Overall this is a lovely property, it has been finished to a very high standard and looks amazing, clearly a lot of love and attention has been paid to all the details even the lighting at night around the property has been well considered. “Perfect hen house” Newbridge House was perfect for my hen weekend, the number of single beds and bathrooms made it work for a large group of women all getting ready. The house is beautifully furnished to a high standard and had everything we needed. One of our group is already planning to book the house for next year for a family birthday and there are plans to hold a reunion to explore Bath in more depth. Quick communication from the owner made this a great weekend. Thank you so much.

“Lovely accommodation in a perfect location” We stayed for two nights in the new year and were very impressed. A lovely apartment with little homely touches. Perfect for a trip into bath, the village had a lovely local pub and had it not been raining it looked like a lovely area for walking. Would definitely consider returning in warmer weather to see more of the area minus the rain and would definitely recommend!
