“Stunning Apartment in the centre of Paris!” Wow! What an amazing and fantastic apartment! Where do I start?! Nicolas was the perfect host and we really couldn't have asked for more. The apartment was spacious, very clean, fully equipped (towels, toiletries, food staples all provided), centrally located and absolutely beautiful! There were so many added extras as well like the mini bar, sweets for the children and a home baked tarte courtesy of Nicholas' lovely mother! On arrival, Nicholas greeted us, showed us around the apartment and explained everything that we needed to know. He also provided a detailed and very useful handbook which was a great guide to the flat and the city of Paris. He made us feel very welcome and was happy to help with anything throughout our stay. We found the location of the apartment extremely convenient - a 10-20 minute walk from many of the major attractions (place de la Concorde, louvre, arc de triomphe etc), and a short stroll to all the major train and bus routes. We really couldn't fault the apartment or the host at all, and we definitely plan to return in the near future. Merci Beaucoup, Nicolas! You made our family holiday in Paris so comfortable and enjoyable and your apartment is beautiful!

“Spacious apartment in downtown Montmartre” When booking this apartment, the owner Luke, allayed any of my possible fears about booking accommodation on the Internet. He suggested we talk on the phone and then contacted me regularly to reassure me the process was proceeding according to plan. When my friend and I eventually arrived at the apartment, the Paris contact Caroline showed us around and how everything worked. Luke has left a welcome pack explaining where all the cafes and restaurants are which is very helpful. The apartment itself was spacious and very elegant. I was under the impression that it had two bathrooms; however, it has one main bathroom plus a separate toilet with a small hand basin which I wouldn’t call a separate bathroom. You have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the bathroom but if the person in that bedroom doesn’t mind, it isn’t a problem — it wasn’t an issue for us. The bathroom and kitchen are very modern and the kitchen has beautiful utensils and whitegoods. The wooden floors squeak a little so you can hear people walking around, and you can also hear the upstairs neighbours and children playing in the courtyard below. However, this was not an issue. The beds are amazingly comfortable (as well as the sofa bed) and the double glazing on the windows shields you from the bustle outside. The neighbourhood is interestingly diverse. The streets appear a bit unclean and littered so it can be a little offputting at first sight. Once we walked around and got used to the neighbourhood, we felt at ease and were never concerned about safety. Uphill, it turns into a more typical Parisian neighbourhood and is very close to the Sacre Coeur, with wonderful cafes, bars, restaurants and very good grocery stores. You can buy food very cheaply or not so cheaply as you wish —there are lots of choices. The apartment is very close to the Chateau Rouge metro station and is only about 20 minutes from the main centre of Paris. There are two flights of stairs to climb but you get used to that. I loved coming home at the end of the day to the spacious elegance and very comfortable bed. We had a fantastic stay – thanks so much!

“Excellent stay in Paris!” The apartment was large and well furnished. All of the main rooms opened up onto a beautiful, quiet courtyard, so it was comfortable even without air conditioning. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we needed (except the food, of course, and that was a short walk away). The lobby was secure, and the elevators - though small - worked without fail. It was great having a washer and dryer in the apartment - they got a lot of use. The owner, Bertrand, was great to deal with, and went out of his way to ensure we had all the information we needed to use appliances, get around Paris, and have an enjoyable stay. His friend Victoria was also helpful - though her English was somewhat limited, (but much better than my French) we were still able to communicate just fine. The only problem we had was that taxi drivers had a hard time finding the apartment - the one downside for staying on a quiet street. We finally started carrying a map with the street highlighted, and that helped. When we were ready to leave, Victoria called for a car to take us to the airport. Our 3-night stay in Paris was far too short, and we plan to return for a longer stay. If and when we do, we plan to stay here again.

“Fabulous retreat” We loved this apartment at the top of Montmartre. It was the perfect retreat after a day of museums and tourist activities. It is in a lovely neighborhood with delicious food shops and the metro within easy reach. The apartment itself is quiet, very well appointed, and offered many extras that helped make our stay rewarding: laptop computer, land-line and cell phones, very informative map booklet, flat screen TV, comfortable queen size bed, washer and dryer, and a user-friendly kitchen. We were greeted upon arrival, had everything clearly explained to us, and knew how to reach someone in case of a problem. If you are looking for apartment living in Paris, we highly recommend this lovely place. We will be re-booking on our next trip. Recommendation: The market class experience with Cooking With Class was a highlight of our trip.
