“Modern, stylish and clean” Owners are full of local knowledge on the best places to ski/eat/relax which lessened the research - there is lots going on in Morzine and they really make an effort to keep families amused. Chalet Roc is very modern, clean and well equipped - the kitchen has everything needed to cook up a storm (we did Christmas lunch there). Washing machine was well-used for our two young and messy daughters. Family games night and watching the massive TV good after a day on the pistes, although some beanbags and throws would make a good addition to the seating area on a cold evening. Great location, easy to find near the centre of Morzine, although the 500m seems a long way when carrying tired children, skis, poles etc... we will consider a trolley or sledge on our next trip unless the owners can get one.

“Comfy, well equiped, well situated chalet” Loved this chalet! It was comfortable with everything we needed. Showers and kitchen good, and ski locker appreciated. Key safe also useful, so our party could come and go at different times. Stairs fairly narrow and a little slippy- would need to be careful with children- and if you are tall, need to watch your head. But the chalet was full of alpine character. Location also good. A lovely 15 min walk into the town (especially along the small road that the chalet is on and over the suspension bridge.) 2 min walk to stop for bus to Ardent (where lifts to Avoriaz, Chatel and les Crosets/Champery start- these are the most snowsure areas.) To ski on Pleney side, ideally you need a lift, or if you hire skis in town, you may be able to leave them at the hire shop overnight (we could have.) Otherwise, it's a double (short) bus journey, or bus and uphill walk through town with skis. Nearest shop for morning bread/croissants 10 min walk (in Montriond.) Would stay here again!

“Is this now the best 4 bedroom chalet in Avoriaz?” We have stayed at Chalet Ardoisiere with Avoriaz Chalets before (2010) and found it to be perfect for a family holiday. Now, Nikki has carried out a full refurbishment including the addition of a wonderful, private hot tub with amazing views. Finishing off the day's skiing by soaking in a private tub whilst looking over the Morzine valley in total privacy is a sublime experience. The chalet is comfortable, beautifully decorated and very well equipped. You take your boots off the heated boot rack, take your skis from the private locker and step straight on to the town piste. For us, it is the perfect ski holiday and the chalet may now be the best 4 bedroom chalet in the resort.

About Morzine
Morzine is a traditional market town, filled with chalets surrounding a wide river gorge. In recent years, it’s become a popular ski resort with tourists from all over the world, but there's plenty to keep you occupied during the summer months too.
