“Best Family Honeymoon :-)” All I can say is WOW!! From beginning to end our experience with Villa Ayr was nothing but INCREDIBLE. We got married in September and wanted to take my husband's kids (13 / 10) with us on a special holiday so we decided on Mauritius as the kids had never been overseas before. From the moment we made contact with Brigitte everything ran smoothly - she arranged a transfer from the airport, car rental and ensured there was some food and drink was in our fridge on our arrival. The accommodation was just perfect with spacious bedrooms and plenty of relaxation room including an amazing patio. Brigitte and James hospitality was nothing but PHENOMENAL - they delivered fresh bread to our door step every monring, suggested local restaurants and side cafe's, booked all our excursions, arranged an amazing New Years dinner, and the list goes on. One of the kids highlights was Brigitte arranged for the kids to try out scuba diving in one of the local hotel swimming pools. All I can finish off by saying is that I would recommend Villa Ayr to anyone looking at going to Mauritius and wanting to experience the island, we loved it so much we actually going back in August this year. Thank you Brigitte and James!! :-)

A great stay

We stayed at MichDan for 2 weeks. We were a family of 4. One of the best holidays we had. Michael and Daniel are absolutely great hosts. It is so evident from the little details that they want this to be a great stay for their guests. Facility has everything one would need. A Special House on the Beach
Idyllic location

The house couldn’t be any nearer the beach so if it’s location you are after then this is it! It’s in an enviable position right on the beach with its shared, very large, superb swimming pool. When we were there if there were 3 people in the pool then it was busy, but we mostly had it to ourselves! The beach is gorgeous with clear water and white sand. You do, however need beach shoes to go in the water as the small pieces of coral are hard on the feet. Sadly we were only there for a short stay but if we had stayed longer then there is lots to do. Either hire a car or get Ravi, a very helpful taxi driver to take you anywhere you’d like to go, even to the supermarket. Ravi’s wife, if asked, will cook you a delicious curry at a very reasonable cost. Ouma is the daily help and she is delightful and very helpful. Sanjay works at the complex and kindly delivers bread every day.All in all we had a wonderful, relaxing few days, soaking up the sun, lounging on the day bed and enjoying the beach and it’s bars. The house itself was fairly basic and not luxury by any means but as a holiday home it is absolutely fine. There are 3 bedrooms, 2 on the first floor but be aware that the 3rd bedroom is in the loft area accessed by steep stairs. There are two bathrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs, each with it’s own shower. Louise, the owner was incredibly helpful and easy to communicate with. She sent us a very comprehensive document with everything you could possibly need to know to have an enjoyable holiday. … see more

Apartment in Flic en Flac Close to beach and shops. Plenty of space for family of up to six. All mod cons available in the apartment including use of WiFi. The only disappointment was that the gate to the pool was broken and hanging off its hinges. I had chosen this particular apartment because the pool area was gated as we had two small children in our party. I contacted the owner who was not aware of this. Having spoken to a resident in the block, the gate had been like this for several weeks. … see more

Wonderful house with all the facilities

This house is a real gem and we had a fantastic stay. Our friends get jealous when they see the pics. What impressed me most was all the equipment in the house, TV in every room, plenty plugs for charging phones and fans etc. Lovely big patio onto a great pool. Computer and WI FI at a work station in the main bedroom. WiFi throughout. Enough cutlery and crockery, cupboards, big fridge etc Laundry and very friendly and helpful staff. Aircons in all the rooms. BBQ area can do with some chairs. Kitchen needs an Ice bucket. WE had a great stay, my only concern was that we were charged for a cupboard railing that broke, through wear-and -tear, and the owner said we are responsible even if it is wear-and -tear. We paid but were not happy. The other items we broke, like glasses etc were understandably our fault and we took full responsibility and paid, but not the cupboard.
