“Excellent quality and value for money” A very spacious and well equipped house in a quiet upmarket residential area 15 minutes walk from the port. 5 of us had our own bedroom ranging from a large master bedroom to smaller rooms all with ensuite (but note that the 2 smaller bedrooms share a toilet/shower). We cooked all our own meals in the spacious kitchen which was generally well equipped though more saucepans would have been useful - it would not be easy cooking for 8-10 people without more pans. It was too cold to use the pool and we didn't bother to ask for it to be heated but it was a good size in a large very tidy garden area. There was a good welcome pack (wine/food) but no basics (e.g salt pepper, teabags) in the house - the kind of things that tend to be left by previous renters. There is a large Eroski supermarket within a 10 minute walk. There was also no handwash anywhere in the house & a decent information pack detailing house instructions, local amenities etc would have been helpful. The weather wasn't particularly warm during our weeks stay but the house has a very efficient underfloor and radiators heating system. Tony the owner communicated with us very well prior to our trip and e-mailed after we arrived to check that all was ok.

“The best house we have stayed at in Pollenca” In the recent past I have spent several weeks during summer in Pollenca with my extended family. Without any doubt, Saltamontes is the best large house we have stayed in. The elevated position means you always have a breeze which is welcome on the hottest days in August. It is a very short drive to both Pollenca old town and the beaches at Porto Pollenca. The house itself is immaculate, Sky TV was a big plus for the kids and the cleaners/gardeners were very discrete but helpful when they attended the property. A wonderfull house for a holiday with family.
