“Excellent accommodation in a wonderful setting” We stayed in this apartment for 2 weeks last summer and loved it so much that we are going back again this year for our holiday! It was perfect for us as a family of five. Clean, well equipped and comfortable,gorgeous views and walking distance to the lovely village of Chatel. We spent many happy hours riding on different chair lifts, walking along trails, and relaxing down by Lake Geneva . All in all the perfect accommodation in the perfect resort!

“Recommend a stay in the summer season” Having only visited off season when the village is very quiet and a stay consists of walks, markets, good meals out and cosy evenings, it was great to experience the summer madness. If you ignore the miniature trains , the rest is lovely; bigger markets, quality buskers, shops selling miniature knights Templar, the chance to look around the impressive bastide buildings, and, most importantly the chance for a daily swim in the Dordogne which is 10 minutes away by car, 20 minutes on foot. Read the other review about the noisy neighbours, and thankfully they weren't there during my weeks stay so we enjoyed quiet days and evenings eating dinner in the garden. The house was as comfortable in summer as it had been in winter....a welcome stoney-cool retreat from the heat.

“Just what was needed” We loved the overall location of this property. Cagne Sur Mer was close enough to the action of Nice and Antibes that we could easily enjoy it, but as a smaller community, was out of the tourist action generally. The apartment was perfect for a family with small children, with a large bed in the bedroom, and pull outs in the living room. Every night we were able to enjoy wine on the balcony while our little one slept soundly, and there was no need for sneaking around or avoiding area of the apartment. The pool allowed for an easy cool-down from the warm weather, which was good, because the beach, although close, was a little further than we expected. Amenities were easy to find with a daily market and supermarket close by and a playground for children of all ages. The train station was accessible, although we found that the bus service of the coast was very cheap and good, so we didn't use the trains much. A handy tip is that there is a bus service from the Airport in Nice, which passes RIGHT by the apartment, it was substantially cheaper than a taxi! We recommend that this be used by travelers. We would definitely stay here again. The price was right for a great holiday!

“Idyllic location” We stayed for two weeks at Easter time. The cottage is most charming and practical in a super location perfect for exploring the virtues of the island in all directions. We shall definitely return.

“Perfect long weekend away!” Had the best long weekend here with a few friends! The flat was so picturesque, fell like our own little French home! Perfect location too, it is down a beautiful little quirky street and within a one minute walk away was the market (fresh fruit, fish, olives jewellery and clothes – definitely go for a wonder, such a good atmosphere!), amazing restaurants, a bakery (got big fresh croissants every morning!) and cheese/wine shops. I would also really recommend getting bikes and exploring the surrounding areas too, you will pass some of the prettiest views! Thank you so much for having us to stay Sue! Couldn’t have asked for a more perfect get away, we are already planning our next visit!
